The idle circuit passage runs from the slot by the throttle plate, down to the idle fuel jet, along a cut-out in the cover gasket, down the well refill bleed, to the point where the idle air screw comes out behind the venturi.

The IH or IT service manuals both show this. The IH manual has a better discription of how the various circuits work in the carb. Both manuals are readily available.
