They were painted RED for the most part some ORANGE and YELLOW have never read that any left CHICAGO with a GREEN paint job. Dealer or anyone could paint any color desired. In the fifty pluss years since last one was built who would know when someone could have sandblasted and painted any color. I have seen over the years at shows some really neat paint schemes just for fun like the H painted JOHN DEERE GREEN with a sign under neath saying THE TRACTOR JOHN DEERE WISHED THEY WOULD HAVE BUILT IN 1945. Or the PURPLE JOHN DEERE guy painted for his wife to drive in parades.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
