fenton: I may have been one of the guys that told scotty that info, but I'm sure he has heard it from other sources as well. These little tractors are monsters when comes to snow plowing, doesn't matter whether it is A, SA, 100, 130 or 140. No hydraulics on the A does add a hirtle. In my lifetime I have plowed snow with the following machines; Farmalls SA, H, 130, 300 and 560, add to that a Case Skidsteer, an articulated Deere and a 300 hp Champion road grader. If consideration is given for weight of machine, I can only rank the little offsets number one. My blade is 18" high and 6' wide, an angle blade. I have it on my 130 mainly because of over size tires on tractor. The 12.4 rear I find work better with chains and the 16" front tires roll over obstacles better. Bit of a plus if you've pushed too far and find yourself in deep snow with blade up, particularly if snow is behind front wheel and your only way out is back.
