Concerning snowplow digging into the lawn: I knew the round edge was the way to go but I wasnt happy with the way the bolt-on pipe was letting snow come up under the blade so I thunk on it and ureka it hit me. Take a 6ft. piece of 2inch pipe - cut a slit the thickness of my blade edge the full length of the pipe - then slip it over the bottom of the blade edge like a cap, tack it in a few spots and done! That way I can plow forward or backward without digging up the drive or lawn and have a reinforced round edge. Being real proud of my Einstein self I called my buddy the welder/fabricator and ran it by him and he said,"ya, that"s the way I"ve been doin it for years for guys on soft ground. I lay an angle iron down beside the pipe as a guide for the slit. Takes about ten minutes." Oh well, so I wasnt the first to come up with the idea, at least the grey matter is still functional.
