I think under normal usage, the Touch Control system would never run hot. If you had a loader or something, which would amount to heavy use, then you might need the gage. Also, the gage would tell you if the system is running under pressure all the time (could be caused by mis adusted controls, etc.) as it will heat very quickly if running under constant pressure. However, you should notice a load on the engine if that happens.
