There is a new and improved version of starter drive. From the outside it looks like the clutch drive on a chain saw. I have them on my Super A and 130 and they were sold to me by CaseIH dealer in Truro Nova Scotia 10 years ago. I was having same problem as you and it cured it 100%. They also make the starter engage much softer if you are using 12 volts. The interesting part on all this, I've never seen these anywhere else.
