You may have lost the oil seal around the piston rings. I have had two engines that sat to long and one that I sprayed ether in the cylinders. I put oil in the spark plug holes and let it run around the rings. Cranked the engine with the plugs removed. Put plugs back in and engine started to fire. Took me a long time to learn this. Larry
