You are checking for voltage at the coil with a test light, are you getting 12Volts here? Even thought it is lighting a test light, it may not have enough voltage there to start it. I had a tractor a couple of weeks ago, one of the guys was using a test light, thought it had 6volts at coil,because it lit test light, so why no fire, found out it only had 3.4 volts, hooked a wire directly to coil from battery and it started right up and ran fine. Bad ignition switch. Might be something to check, especially if the fire to plugs are weak.
