Dont use degreaser solvent if your not going to replace the old leather seals. I made that mistake by flushing a tranny on a 130 with 10 + 1 degreaser then filling with oil. Didnt notice it till the next day when all the oil was on the shop floor. Good thing it wasnt an M (15 gal worth).
The best way I know without taking the top cap off is to remove the pto and drag it all out with some rags. WD 40 is also a good degreaser and a great hand cleaner.Good luck, its all a mess.
