I purchased an older PTO generator a couple months ago at an auction. I finally got around to finishing all the wiring for it this weekend and was going to test it out. I started to hook it up to my 574 and it suddenly dawned on me its set up for a 1000-RPM PTO and all I have is a 540-RPM on the 574. I know some 574’s had dual PTO shafts but all I have is the 540 and a flat cover over the lower shaft location. What’s would be involved in adding the 1000 RPM shaft in this situation. Does it require dismantling the whole tranny or can it be done with minimal disassembly? Any suggestions as to where to get the parts? Any other ideas? Tim
