I have a tiny hitachi alt on my H.It had several wires/wire connections. I put it in the vise and ran it with a motor, the big(battery) wire was idiot proof the other two or three I touched around gently till I got it right. It was free. I ended up only having to have one little wire connected to the ign for excitation(sp). If you get an internally regulated mini alternator me or someone else here will help to figure out the wiring. But we need to know exactly what you have. maybe even a picture.
