Mylsa: The 450 can not leak oil from transmission to engine or vice versa. You can get leakage as Hal suggests from hydraulic system into the crankcase, via the shaft that drives the pump.

From your description I suspect not only is pump leaking into crankcase, but it is in poor shape as well. Probably the best cure would be a rebuilt or new pump. If you have no external leaks this should cure the problem. Shop around on that pump, there are several sources. I would talk to CaseIH first.
