If it has an o-ring and you use use a speedy sleeve, the hole in the housing that the shaft goes through has to be enlarged to accept the speedy sleeve. Best to let a machine shop do that. The seal in question is the one nearest to the front of the tractor. I don't remember two grooves, but I have only had one pump apart.
