A single click like that tells me that you have a bad connection some where. I'd guess you need to clean the battery cables/battery post and put it back togeather. Remember clean tight and brite. Most of the time a single click says it arced at a battry terminal and then you had no more contact with the battery, and unless your jumper cables are very very big cables you just plain aren't getting the zap you need.
