I looked at the generator last night and it was a remanufactured 6 volt from beatrice,Neb. I didn't notice the coil. Yes, John the lights were burnt out so prior to the tractor starting redid the wiring of the top lights down to the steering wheel. From there I put 12 volt lights in because the battery was 12 volt and the dim/high switch. I've replaced the cable to the starter with 1 guage and placed the same 12 volt battery that it came with back on. Hit the foot pedal and the postive battery cable just popped. So I guess I will put the 00 guage battery cables on and put a 6 volt battery. Thanks for your help I will keep working on it until it works. Thanks for your help-scott
