706 ta

hello everyone and happy thanksgiving! anyhow i have a 706 wich the ta forgets to go into low sometimes. so i bought a used ta either for a core so i can get it rebuilt and switch mine out, or rebuild the new one myself and put it into the tractor. so i was wondering is there anything really difficult about rebuilding these things. also what is usually wore out and what needs to be changed because im in there. from the parts book, and the it manual it doesnt sound to hard, just have never done one, and im not sure what wears out in them. thanks for any help,
