I have two Super C's and neither one of my gauges moves no matter how long I run them. I'll try Peabody's cleaning suggestion. My neighbor tried to "clean and repair" his gauge and now just has a stub of cable sticking out of the sender when he couldn't get it back together and found the price of replacement.
