Hi Dan,
The glass bead I used is very fine and just slightly roughs up the surface. I could have brought the hub into work and turned it on a lathe but thought that would work OK. Yep, I bushed the brake pedals to get rid of the slop as you mentioned. Im just glad the radius is slightly bigger than smaller on the brake bands. Thanks for the reply!
