I know we are all enamored with that fine tractor from across the sea lately, but I got a different tractor make to worry about. I have a real nice DT466 ( 6 cyl turbo diesel) in a rusted out cab over box truck that needs a new home. Does anyone know what, if any, IH tractors this could be used in? And if, in fact it can go in a tractor, what all will need to be swapped off the tractor motor? I have heard to put it in a non cabover truck the front timing gear plate would need to be changed, due to motor mounting differences. I realize with a welder, a torch , and a big enough pile of metal, anything can go into almost anything, but I am looking for a neat conversion/installation. Just got done with putting a 460 in the 86 plow truck.. that required oil pan fabrication and mount welding, due to age differences. But it was worth it!Hoping I can do the same in a tractor! Thanks guys...now back to your regularly scheduled Zetor program, brought to you by Sally and her bro. :O)
