I asked for an estimate/guesstimate from a repair shop. A few years ago, the cost of repair was approximately $7,000 Canadian, for the 5088. Without taking the time to price everything out, the 5488 being larger, the possible need for shafts, gears, clutch pack,it could cost $9,000 canadian. Just their guesstimate. I"ll have to park the tractor in the tree row, until the grain prices improve.
