That sure beats the way we did it when I was growing up. Cutting it by hand and putting the stalks in shocks until was dry. Then we had to husk every ear by hand, what a boring job. Then we had to load the corn on a truck or wagon and haul it into the corn crib and unload it by hand. You can see why my brother and I left the farm after graduating from high school. You can not beat farm machinery. My late father-in law was always digging his garden by hand. When he died my mother-in-law was fussing about getting the garden dug. I told her I would take care of the garden and I ran a tiller over it a couple of times and walked up and told her the garden was ready to plant.
