If it's going to be permanently mounted, you really should use a high-volume PTO-driven hydraulic pump and a separate hydraulic reservoir. It'll run awful slow with the internal pump, and the oil will get very hot very quickly as was mentioned. The internal hydraulics would be ok for occasional use, and in those cases you could simply unhook the bucket control and hook up the backhoe.
