Glad you found the problem. Those Cubs have a problem sometimes losing their oil pressure when changing the oil and it may occur at anytime. I would keep a close eye on the oil pressure when you start it. If you ever have that problem you need to remove that plug on the left side of tractor and squirt oil in there. You need to remove the oil filter cap and fill the housing with oil and replace the top.

This is the only Farmall that I've heard that does this. I think it's where the oil pump is
installed at the rear of the engine. Most oil pumps whether on a tractor or car are connected
to the engine vertically and are submurged in the oil in the pan. Hal
