You should check with someone in your area that rents ground for crops. Your local county farm agent may even know what the going prices are. One of my former co-worker rents out land for crops. He's in his late 80's and I would call him, but he is so hard of hearing its hard to get an answer. He has sold the farm house and the barn and machinery sheds to a hog farmer, but he kept the most of the acreage. He was an excellent mechanic too. He was involved in car racing for years. He was the treasurer of the club too. When they raise corn on his fields they had to shell or pick the corn, but had to leave the corn stalks and plant a cover crop. Hal
