Do as you wish with the tank I will tell you that used good parts for the 400 are tough to find there were apox 45,000 tractors made alot still in use and not in the junk pile the manufacture has discontinued most parts. Don"t get me wrong you will find all you need it will just take extra looking for a complete restoration on the 400 I just did mine last year Im in western pa. parts were $$$ and no as easy as a JD A or IH -H-M to find parts
