I have a Farmall A I bought on a sale about a year ago with a bunch of extra equipment including a IH 1000 loader. Noticed it had an alternator before I bid so was excited that it was converted to 12V. After buying and getting it home, I opened the battery box to see a 6V battery. I turns over slow like a 6V does and I am baffled. Without diggin into the electrical, I am wondering how this is done. Everything works on it electronically, lights, amp gauge. Is there a transformer or regulator somewhere that I am not seeing that reduces the alternator current down to 6V? thanks Fluggie
