Paul, the hydraulic TA will not engage without hydraulic pressure, which means no tow starting... Doesn't matter anyway, because there's no magic to tow starting. If the tractor won't fire on the electric starter, it won't fire if you towed it from here to China and back... There may or may not be anything wrong with the TA. Don't pass judgement on it just yet. BTW, the mechanical TAs need to be "ahead," in direct mode, to keep from freewheeling.
