1949 Farmall Cub transmission

Can anyone tell me if there is a seal at the transmission housing between the housing and the bell housing( clutch ) I backed the cub up on a trailer and transmission oil was coming out of the bell housing. Just bought the cub and I'm trying to restore everything to it's former glory. This is the first cub I've worked on and I'm having a hard time finding information in the manual I have. Would appreciate any advice you can give. I pulled the engine and sent it to the machine shop. It did not appear to be coming from the engine. What do you think? Thanks, George
