Gas is cheaper than diesel right now. When I was still on the farm we kept a larger gasser (AC 190XT) around because we knew it would start in the winter. There was a certain amount of comfort knowing that if the power went out and the block heater wasn't working we could feed our cattle and plow our way out. For a didle about tractor I think gas would be a good choice for those reasons alone. Poop around with it as a secondary outfit but when the need arises (powering a generator?)you got it on the front line.
