Could be that your hood was replaced at some point with a used one from a distillate tractor. The distillate fuel bowl had two fuel line connections as opposed to one and the manifold would have a heat shield or at least the connecting studs on the front and an adjustment lever on the side to regulate temperature on the dual fuel models.
They haven't made distillate in decades. Regular unleaded is fine.
