Hi JB2 you have coverd this problem very well.Just a thought but when we sold these tractors new we had a similer problem. It turned out to be a faulty thermostart valve in the inlet manifold. The thermostart unit is activated by holding the ign key in the heat position. This heats a glowplug and then a valve opens up to let fule in wich the glowplug ignites. If the valve in the thermostart unit is faulty this could be the problem. MJ
