It is a plate that replaces your original plate on the end of your factory control valve bank. It is ported differently than the original plate thus allowing a hose to be connected to it and then to a remote valve bank (usually mounted on a loader). The reason this is important is that with the power beyond the hydraulic oil bypasses the factory control valve allowing your remote valve to operate completely independent of factory control valve operation. Without this you would need to constantly lock your factory control valve in the energized position to supply oil to the remote valve.
