After reading the description, I would be willing to bet that the guy IS that dumb. Afterall, he says it has been a lawn ornanment for the last 25 years, he doesn't know what it is, or where it came from. I agree, $750 is too much. If I lived somewhere closer than I do I might be tempted to contact the man after the listing ends and make an offer, you could pretend to be a scrap iron buyer if that's what it takes.
