When I cleaned my tank, I had it wrapped in cardboard and tied it on to the hub with rope. I rode it around the place for 10 or 15 mins. and it shined 'er up good. It didn't take much to clean all the sand out. Blew it out pretty easy. I'll use bb's next time. Don't have to worry about them getting in your carb.(%^)HTH
