There are actually 3 different PTOs. Tractors from 1939 thru early 1941 had slot or dog driven PTOs and to install later PTO in one of these transmission counter shaft has to be changed to later type. Last 2 PTOs types should interchange. On M changeover from dog type drive was couple of years later for tractors with low low first gear do not know about H.
