condensation under the distributor cap

My H has been running poorly once in a while. It acts like it is loading up at idle. New plugs, points, reset the timing innumerable times, tried a different coil, put a shim in the rotor, etc. The problem seems to be condensation under the distributor cap. It has not been particularly humid or even cool yet, any ideas on why it collects in the cap, and how to prevent it ? Thanks Greg
