I've got a question about the steering on my 300U. The 2 halves eventual slip enough to cause a lot of slop in the right front wheel. I've fixed it a couple of times but it doesn't stay tight. The IT manual says there should be a dowel pin that needs to be replaced after the unit is taken apart. It says to reem the hole and put in a new pin. All mine has ever had is a bolt in the hole. How do I know what size dowel pin to get and are they sold by Case IH. Can I drill the hole to get the right size or is there another tool that's needed to size the hole to the dowel. I pretty sure I need to add the dowel to keep the halves from slipping.
