Since the bolt patterns were the same, any H, Super H, 300, or 350 engine could easily be bolted in at any time during the tractor's life. It didn't have to come from the factory that way... Same goes for the transmission. You could put Super gears in very easily during a rebuild.

The engine's displacement is stamped into the block. It should be C-something.

There was also an "overbore" kit for rebuilding the engine. Wasn't the same as a Super H because the Super's block was bored out for larger sleeves, but it did the job.
