Hi Gene, are you asking about the pressure sensed by the sensor under the seat that turns on the transmission warning light on the dash? I looked in the I&T shop manual for 684 which is same rear end as 574 and the only pressures it mentions are the hydraulic pressure for main pump is 12.5 gpm @ 1500-1600 psi, relief valve should limit to 2300 to 2500 psi. Pressure to PTO clutch should be set to 220 to 250 psi. Power steering is supplied by flow divider @ 2.5 gpm and 1500 to 1600 psi. There is a separate lube pump that supplies 4.5 gpm to lube the transmission and I believe this is the one that the pressure switch under the seat measures. The shop manual mentions this lube pump and says there is no way to check the flow as all oil passages are internal to the transmission. I do seem to recall that the switch under the seat had something like 10 PSI stamped on it. Maybe Bernard le mecano will assist you as he has worked on many of these tractors for IH dealer. Hope this helps JB2

Elliott said while this
