cub sickle mower pulley removal

Hope someone can help me here. I am trying to remove the large pulley from the drive shaft on a Cub sickle mower. It is the pulley that is connected to the PTO by the belt. It looks like it has a depression in the end of the shaft for a puller, but I cannot locate a set screw or keyway on the pulley or shaft. I don't want to try to pull it off and take a chance on breaking the pulley if I have missed something. Maybe the pulley was heated and then pressed onto the shaft at the factory? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
