The rearend and tranny share the same fluid i.e. 90W gear oil. You will need about 6 gallons. There are two drain plugs. One is under the PTO, and (without looking) the other is underneith, near the front of the trans housing. If you look around, you'll see them. The fill plug is next to the steering column, and the level plug is about half way down on the left side, near the clutch pedal pivot.

The leak is probably coming from either the input shaft for the transmission or the drive shaft for the hydraulic pump. Or both. Both seals can be replaced from underneith the tractor.
