Alternator will fit under Hood of H???

Hi,
I have a farmall H that does not have a generator on her, or the mounting bracket. I have been rolling around the idea of putting a single wire Alternator on her, but do any of you know if it will fit under the hood without causing grief. I want the tractor to look as stock as possible, I thought a 12v conversion would do me for now, and I can always find a 6V generator later on down the road. Thanks,
