Thanks MagMan and El Toro for your quick response. I can hold onto the coil wire and still nothing. The coil button is pointed toward the front a little (about 15 deg.) and seems to make good contact with the coil cover "arm". I am trying to achieve spark between the coil wire and the ground screw-nut that threads onto the condenser, as well as other places on the tractor, but to no avail. Still scratching my head on this one. Could the magnet have lost its magic? If so some advice on remagnetizing please. I will continue checking for a hidden ground as I am suspecting this to be the problem more and more. If you happen to think of something else please let me know. Also, any other ways of checking each individual part would always be helpful to everyone. Thanks again for all of your help, I will keep you posted on my progress and what happened to be the culprit. "Keep RED alive, they don"t make "em like they used to." Jeremy
