antifreeze in oil pan

The last time I ran my A cultivision A, strong antifreeze odor was evident, no signs of leaks, antifreeze in oil pan, hussled home at shut it down to prevent further damage. Engine is not seized, no signs of leaks and antifreeze in oil pan,Nerve testing moment though. I am in the process of troubleshooting and starting repairs. I have been told it is the head gasket and not wet sleeves and less likely a cracked block. I am sure I will find out when I get into the project. Is there anything I should anticpate or look for other than the obvious?
