The firing order of all IH 4 cylinder gas engines is 1342, #1 being closest to the radiator. The terminals on the distributer cap, viewed from the rear (terminal end)are:
2 1
4 3
The rotor rotates clockwise, the #1 terminal should be marked, but as indicated it is the top right.
