Dad had a similar unit on the front of a JD60. It had a single massive cylinder that mounted vertically to the front frame bolster of the tractor. There was also an iron bracket that wrapped around the front and bolted to the side frame rails. I seem to remember two angle iron braces that extended forward and up from the sides to stablize the cylinder. The cables went over (crossed?) two pulleys at the top of the cylinder and attached to the loader frame lift arms, one of which carried the trip mechanism for the bucket. Grampa had a similar unit mounted on his "H". Seems that the front bracket was a little different though. Vaguely remember a tall rectangular frame on the front of the tracotr that had a couple of cross braces, forming an "X"...that's about it...CRS.
