The same garbage has happened to many in my extended family. From US Steel to (now) Maytag, the bean counters have lead us into the weeds. I believe in your skills. Setting up a larger (internet based) magneto and distributor repair/rebuild enterprise might work well. The expansion might need to include more "species" than red, but the operation is the same, as are many components. From the posts you have gotten, and the positive answers that you provide (without pressure to sell your self) , I believe there is potential there. Also, check into retraining funds that may be a part of the company change over where your wife worked/s. They rarely post one's options to obtain help in becomming re-employed. Bottom liners like ex-employees to go away. Best of Luck in any case. Jim Nicholson
