I have had a 1997 1500 Dodge and 1998 2500 both with 360 had decent power and good reliability. I now have a 2001 3500 with 6 speed and cummins high output diesel. Lots of power and the only time the noise bothers me is at the Drive up of McDonalds. The newer ones are extremley quiet. Like one of the other posters stated I would wait until fall when Dodge brings out the bigger crew cab. My Brother also has an 01 that he had customized to a crew cab and has the banks system and Jake brake and 6 speed,What a puller. My dad has a 1998 with cummins and automatic with 250,000 miles and only problem has been the air conditioner.
