Paul, I don't think I would sweat the smoke too much especially with it sitting a long time and if it clears up when it gets warm. Lot's of stuff out there to clean with, I just cleaned a very dirty, greasy cub and I used oven cleaner, brake parts cleaner and a pressure washer, come out pretty good. Ed
