Hugh, Firstly, how did you fix it? That hole got extended pretty far out to the right, it's probably double it's normal size. As far as how it happened, I don't quite understand how the spring of the clip that holds the pin in place would be related. In fact, that pin (you can barely see it in the pictures) was indeed slightly bent, but it's so small, that I can't see how it could be related to the forces that gouged that hole so wide. I would think it just would have sheared (much easier to replace). It is definitely the right pin as I ordered it new from IH. Thanks!! Ramon
